Day 38, Meal 78

Day 38, Meal 78

My Rating:

Let’s play a game! Guess this meal:

As you can tell from THIS post, we had some good guesses:

  1. Angel hair, meat sauce, sausage and grilled chicken
  2. Cheese, sausage, cheese, and meat sauce. Topped with more cheese.
  3. Rigatoni with chicken fritta, five cheese marinara, and a mountain of cheese
  4. Gluten-free rotini, marina sauce, and chicken fritta

#3 was the closest, the only difference being I had Cavatappi instead of Rigatoni! Also, the theme this week is You’re My Favorite, so I would NEVER have Angel Hair in this theme, ruling #1 out of the question. #2 was a good guess, and I might have to try that some time. #4 sounds just okay, but not good enough to hang with the favorites!

Lets peel back some of the cheese:

And finally, the meal reveals itself, a refill of Cavatappi, Five Cheese Marinara & Crispy Chicken Fritta:

So, I ordered a plate of cheese, as I don’t typically have cheese grated on top of my meal, so I can take a picture of my meal first. To avoid having them wait around, I find it easier to ask for a side plate. But sometimes, I end up with a TON of cheese, something my lovely wife usually brings me as well since she knows my LOVE for cheese… And if it’s in front on me, I’m GOING to use it ALL (hence, the above picture). I mean, who turns down cheese? Anyways, this was FANTASTIC, and I’m sure the cheese helped but I’m also confident it could stand on it’s own without the cheesy goodness. 10/10.

Here is the Ziosk showing a cost savings of $14.82:

Here is the nutritional information for this meal (with a normal amount of cheese):

After losing 70 pounds this year, I'm going on a journey of enjoying carbs and dining out twice a day for the next 8 weeks, for free, while still living a healthy lifestyle. I'll be at the gym daily, and my goal is to not put on a single pound. "Everything in moderation, including moderation" - Oscar Wilde
