Day 14, Meal 28

Day 14, Meal 28

My Rating:

For my FINAL meal during 50/50 sauce week, as I only had 2 of the 15 choices left available to try, I went with the Creamy Mushroom/Five Cheese Marinara combination, which means sadly Creamy Mushroom /Traditional Meat Sauce didn’t make the cut and is left out :(… I paired this combo with Spaghetti & Crispy Shrimp Fritta:

It was ok, not great but I was still happy(ish) with the result as I had no idea what to expect for flavors. I wouldn’t say I loved it but I didn’t hate it either. Not as good as the lunch combination of Creamy Mushroom/Traditional Marinara, and I would give this a 6/10 rating.

So my lovely wife Samantha joined me tonight with the kiddos Chloe & Olivia at the restaurant she works at after she got out of work. We had Jessica tonight for our server, who was awesome and hilarious. My wife ordered the Chicken Margarita, which I wish I would have gotten a picture of as it sounds awesome. Here is a stock image of the meal, consisting of grilled chicken breasts topped with fresh tomatoes, mozzarella, basil pesto and a lemon garlic sauce:

As 50/50 Week comes to an end, it’s time for a new theme: Dessert Week!!! I’m someone who truly LOVES desserts, and I mean that in the sense that when I sit down at restaurants, I’m already planning desserts. Each lunch I will be having dessert after my pasta, which will be refill (half) portioned to stay within my 1300 calories per meal limit). If the pasta/dessert combo exceeds my calories, I will eat half the dessert during lunch and save the rest for a post dinner snack. This gives me the opportunity to discover some new desserts I haven’t tried before, including the limited time options, specifically the Pumpkin Cheesecake & Cookie Butter Cake! 🙂 So the obvious negative… Yes, I will be paying for the desserts. But since my meal is comped, it seems like the logical time to give them a test 🙂

Here is the ziosk showing a cost savings of $15.88:

Here is the nutritional information for this meal:

In other news, I ordered some business cards as this week alone several people have asked me for them after having an organic conversation with them about this:

…and if you get the cards, might as well get the shirt to save on shipping:

And finally, I am putting together an event for ALL Passholders and family who wish to attend a FINAL Pasta Pass dinner gathering at the end of the Never Ending Pasta Pass promotion, on November 19th. Feel free to bring your non-passholder family/friends. The Olive Garden selected is the ORLANDO – INTERNATIONAL DRIVE location, 8984 International Dr Orlando, FL 32819. Stay tuned for further announcements. Jeff

After losing 70 pounds this year, I'm going on a journey of enjoying carbs and dining out twice a day for the next 8 weeks, for free, while still living a healthy lifestyle. I'll be at the gym daily, and my goal is to not put on a single pound. "Everything in moderation, including moderation" - Oscar Wilde
