Day 16, Meal 32

Day 16, Meal 32

My Rating:

Tonight I had a refill potion of Cavatappi, Alfredo & Crispy Chicken Fritta, which was modified from Day 7, Meal 13 which had Asiago Garlic Alfredo instead:

They definitely gave a good portion of chicken (probably a tad more than I needed!) but the downside was I felt like I needed a little more sauce and was on the verge of rating this a 7/10. Inside I was trying to tell myself that they didn’t give me enough sauce so I could justify getting some more, but I asked for more anyways, despite another 330 calories being tacked on! TOTALLY WORTH IT. My server, Hannah, who is my new favorite server, out of all 32 meals because she was just super duper awesome, brought me out a boat of Alfredo Sauce, normally what one would use for dipping sauce. I know some locations give a small cup when they ask for a refill, but I was really excited (and nervous because of the calories) because I now had some awesome sauce for my breadsticks too. Wow, first time dipping breadsticks in the alfredo-only sauce. So good and worth every calorie. So yes, I drastically went over my 1300 calorie limit/rule, HOWEVER, because lunch was only 929, and dinner was 1599, I am still averaging the day at 1264/meal!!! YAY! With the Alfredo Sauce, this is DEFINITELY a 9/10.

…Now lets give the leftover Cookie Butter Cake a try, after being in the refrigerator all day. Here is a picture of the half portion I saved before boxing it up, next to the prettier original full size dessert:

It’s a firm consistency right out of the fridge, like a Pepperidge Farm cake (except this tastes really good). I was expecting to need to let it sit out for a while, which is what I do with regular cake I make at home. I rarely ever like cold, firm cake, so much so that I usually would microwave it for a few seconds and enjoy it with a very cold glass of milk.  Not this time, as it’s delicious as is! I could also now definitely pick out the cookie butter flavor as well. The leftover dessert gets an 8 again, bringing the overall meal to an 8.5 (so we will round up to a 9).
