Day 17, Meal 33

Day 17, Meal 33

My Rating:

For today’s meal out in Orlando, I went with a refill portion of Fettuccine, Asiago Garlic Alfredo & Grilled Chicken, which was modified from Day 4, Meal 8, which had regular Alfredo instead and was rated 9/10…  I’m hoping for the same or better today:

So, it came out really fast and looks great. I was super excited and took my first bite. Disappointment. This dish was super bland, except for the couple of garlic cloves. I’ve had Asiago Garlic Alfredo in some form or fashion 9 times to date, this being my 10th, so I know what it should taste like. I’m guessing this batch was just slightly off, but without the strong flavor, the whole meal just fell apart. A sad 6/10.

Fortunately, Warm Berry Crostata saved the day:

This was awesome. I don’t think I’ve ordered a berry/fruity dessert before in my life, as I am always the “play it safe” guy with Chocolate, etc… But it was incredibly surprising to me how much I enjoyed it. Since I don’t really have other Berry desserts to compare it to, I guess the flavor somewhat reminded me of a warm gooey Pop-Tart on steroids. The Vanilla Ice Cream was a perfect combination and pairs really well.  It definitely needs it as the cold/warm balance is perfect. Just a lot going on. But eat it quick, it will melt fast:

The dessert gets a 9/10, bringing the overall meal to a 7.5, (luckily) rounded up to an 8.
