Day 5, Meal 10

My Rating:

Meal 10 has arrived! This is sort of a mini-milestone meal, as 10 meals in 5 days is a bit of commitment (despite having another 102 meals to go), and since I have a 5k run in the morning, I didn’t want to go crazy with the calories and skipped the breadsticks, soup and/or salad. I ended up choosing another classic: Spaghetti, Traditional Marinara and Meatballs:

And the cheesy overload version:

This visit, I ventured over to the Ocala location which is about half an hour from me. So far I’ve been to locations in Orlando, Ocala, The Villages and Inverness. I hope to try quite a few more along the journey.

This meal was good, and no real complaints, but I would score it a 6/10 as it doesn’t rank as well as the Spaghetti, Traditional Meat Sauce & Meatball/Italian Sausage combo which scored an 8/10.

Another Daddy/Daughter date night of course too:

They really LOVE coming out here to dinner, for coloring, playing with stickers and of-course the FOOD.  They don’t overeat though, typically they get a single breadstick each and split a kids meal or do what we did tonight and simply get a side of Linguine with Tomato Sauce. A regular kids meal is $5.99, but this is only $3.79. Oh, and we all got a round of waters.

Here is a picture of the receipt with the Pasta Pass, showing a savings of $14.75 with tax. My bill came to $4.06, which was all I owed to take my 2 girls out to dinner! I left 25% tonight (always tip on the original bill), as I always do 20-25%, unless if some crazy rudeness happens, which is RARE in my experience at the Olive Garden.

Here is the nutritional information for this meal:

Not too shabby, considering I have a 5k in the morning I didn’t want to go overboard. I’ll be doing this free event:

A free 5k with chip-timing, free t-shirt, and free refreshments? That’s just in my price range! Wish me luck!
