For my 3rd meal of the day, which is the first day I’ve attempted a triple visit, I went with the same meal as my last, except doubling up on the Shrimp. Operation “Make Me Shrimpy” is in full effect:
I’m back in my hometown of Inverness, FL, and fortunately, my lovely wife had just went in to work right before I got home from Orlando, so it was a nice change to have her as my server. Typically, I go in before she goes in to work! She already knew exactly what I wanted (I always discuss my themes with her, and she checks my blog daily), so today’s visit was very prompt and efficient!
I definitely enjoyed having a full portion of shrimp, as it is my FAVORITE topping on the Never Ending Pasta Bowl menu, and as you can tell, I FINALLY caved to getting my beloved freshly grated Romano cheese again! Mostly because my wife knows me so well and just automatically brought me a plate of it 🙂 Thanks, Love.
So a really exciting announcement! I reached out to the reigning Pasta Pass Champion and the one and only #PastaPreacher, Alan Martin, and we are going to meet up at his preferred Olive Garden in Burlington, NC and have a Pasta Pass dinner together, on November 12th. He did such an amazing job back in 2014 with obtaining $1,840.34 worth of Pasta, across 115 visits, in 7 weeks and I am (hopefully) going to top that this year and thought a friendly Challenger/Champion visit was in order. Since we are doing 8 weeks this year, an equivalent number would mean I have to beat 132, so I’m going for 133 visits!
Alan is genuinely a really nice guy, and we have a LOT in common. We both are married with 2 daughters, one of them even sharing the same name, Olivia (we both named her after Olive Garden… just kidding), and we both love a good deal, adventure and value.
The location in Burlington even has a hotel RIGHT next door. Alan was kind enough to take this photo and send it to me. I guess I know what hotel I’m staying at:
