It’s Wednesday and Thanksgiving Day Eve! Yes, that’s a thing 🙂 I’m over in Orlando and for lunch I’m stopping over at my normal go-to at the ORLANDO – WATERFORD LAKES NEAR UCF location for dine-in. I had Autumn, one of the servers I’ve had on a couple of occasions. I ended up trying a Breadstick Sandwich, my first time since my very own Stickwich Week, where I created Olive Garden sandwiches using the Never Ending Pasta Bowl sauces/toppings and their Signature Breadsticks.
I decided to try the Lunch Duo, where you can create your own lunch combination starting at $6.99. Start with unlimited soup or salad, and then pair with one of the following:
[Sandwiches & Piadinas]: Italian Meats & Cheese Piadina, Grilled Chicken & Cheese Piadina, Grilled Vegetable & Cheese Piadina, Eggplant Parmigiana Breadstick Sandwich (with fries), Spicy Calabrian Chicken Breadstick Sandwich (with fries), Italian Meatball Breadstick Sandwich (with fries), Chicken Parmigiana Breadstick Sandwich (with fries), [Mini Pasta Bowls]: Spaghetti with Meat Sauce, Fettuccine Alfredo, [Classic Entrée]: Lasagna Classico
I opted for the Spicy Calabrian Chicken Breadstick Sandwich:
This was fantastic. It is described as “Lightly breaded chicken, fried and tossed in our spicy Calabrian sauce, plus tangy gorgonzola and a savory Italian cheese spread on our signature breadstick. Served with parmesan-garlic fries.”
It certainly was spicy, which I typically don’t prefer, but with the combination of gorgonzola and cheese, it worked really well. I also really enjoyed the parmesan-garlic fries! 9/10.
I also had the Zuppa Tuscana, and a breadstick:
As Olive Garden has the Holiday gift-card promotion going on right now, as you get $10 for every $50 in gift-card purchases, I HAD to get one for MYSELF:
Here is my Ziosk showing a cost of $58.51. The gift-card was $50 and my lunch was $7.99 + tax:
