I hope everyone had a fantastic (and delicious) Thanksgiving yesterday. It’s Black Friday today, and I will NOT be participating in the shopping festivities. While I used to be the person who would literally camp out at the front door of stores for the best deals, I no longer have the ambition to save a few dollars in that manner. One would think, after seeing my crazy activities with my pasta adventures that I’d be all over that, but maybe when Olive Garden participates in the Black Friday spirit, I’ll come on-board.
It’s lunch time, and I’m ready for leftover meal #4, and here it is when I got it fresh back on Day 44, Meal 105. Fettuccine, Five Cheese Marinara & Crispy Chicken Fritta [Refill]:
Here it is frozen, getting ready to be reheated:
And here it is, ready to eat:
This was the first time I tried to speed up the defrost process, and went straight for reheat in the microwave instead of defrost. BIG mistake. The noodles were getting overcooked and thus became slightly tough. I noticed this early on so I at least didn’t do it for the whole time in the microwave, but tomorrow I will ONLY use the defrost setting. I still need to also try a completely thawed meal and then an oven reheat. But so far, surprisingly, the microwave has worked great (besides today). 7/10 due to the way I reheated it, or else it would have been a solid 10.
Here is the nutritional information for this meal:
